My Drawer

The other day I cleaned out the top drawer of my bedside table to keep all my favorite things that I needed there and I just had to share. Why yes, I am easily amused. Why do you ask? :-)

This is my bedside table with my book basket. My bed is my sanctuary after a long day of being surrounded by little people all day, I get to be alone in the quiet and read! (My husband goes to sleep very early because he gets up very early.)

Here is the inside of my drawer:

My Stormie Omartian prayer books God gave me. My green bible that I'm currently using. Underneath my bible is my cute little pink laptop. The pink planner I'm currently using. Underneath is a journal/notebook. And the little rectangle thing over that is a little pouch for pens, highlighters, and the adorable post-it book markers I found the other day.

I just have to show you the things that are covered up.

This is my little birdy journal. Isn't it adorable? I would love to have that print in a bag or diaper or mei tai or something. So cute. I use this for journaling or just jotting down notes or ideas or rough drafts of plans I'm making. Also, the pages are perforated, so they make really cute stationary too.

And this. Oh how do I love thee, little pink laptop? :-D

Of course, the bible, planner, and laptop don't live in this drawer during the day. They travel with me from room to room as I go about my day. But this is their beginning and ending place by my bed and I love it. My little spot, my sanctuary. Think I'll go there now...

Thanks for sharing. btw, what brand planner is that?
I saw the diaper bag link you sent and love it. I'm assuming you're going for the pink one?

It's a Franklin Covey planner--Walmart version ;-) I don't use the pages inside though. Just blank ones. I'll write more about it later.

Oh, I wish I could get the pink one! too expensive though. Watching for in on ebay! haha

So what can you tell me about these little laptops? I am debating whether I should get one or not; didn't know if it is worth the money? I would love to know how you all like yours.

Jessica, I LOVE my little laptop. It wouldn't be a main computer or anything, but now that I have it,I would never let it go! It was $298 at Walmart and I got it as a gift from my husband. The main thing we wanted it for was for our piano instruction software, so we could just put the laptop on top of the keyboard. But now I use it for school, I use it in bed at night, I use it on the countertop for recipes. We use it to talk to our family b/c it has a webcam and mic on it. I use it for everything! I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about it.

What operating system does it use? Is it Windows XP?

One more question; off topic:
You look great, how do you stay so skinny?

Yes, it uses Windows XP. My husband's big laptop uses Vista which I do not like!

lol Thanks! Honestly, I don't feel so skinny right now. I'm still 15 pounds over my prepreg weight and none of my old clothes fit. I really don't do anything--I guess I've always been blessed with high metabolism, which is starting to slow down!

Where did you get that cute little birdy journal? Hopefully at a nation-wide chain store??
